Product Description – Model CA195FLEX-RF1000-B

AIR802® manufactures CA195FLEX, a 50 ohm coaxial cable identical to Time's Microwave's LMR-195-UF Ultraflex. This bulk reel of 1000 feet cable is with a black jacket. Alternatively it is available in a white jacket. It is similar to RG-142 electrical performance.

It is manufactured with a thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) jacket. TPE has rubber-like properties and is sometimes referred to as thermoplastic rubber. TPE offers excellent environmental and chemical characteristics. There are considerable variances in TPE material.  Other materials whether TPE or not if not appropriately chosen may result in stiffening when installed in extreme cold, suffer from UV radiation breakdown and other issue. Using the appropriate TPE material provides good abrasion resistance, heat resistance, resistance to UV sunlight, oxidation and atmospheric ozone. It does not have high resistance to hydrocarbons and would not be the most suitable for refining or gas processing plants. It is resistant to wear, cutting and impact. TPE retains its physical and electrical properties even in severe environmental conditions such as salt water making it very suitable for marine use.

The center conductor is constructed with a stranded (solid copper) center conductor and coupled with the rubber-like TPE jacket provides for superior bending and flexibility.  CA195FLEX has excellent weatherability engineered for up to 20 years of life.

Pre-made antenna cable assemblies are also available from this cable in various lengths and connector options.
