AIR802® Web Smart Ethernet switch offers enterprises the ability to deploy a solution in-between a simple unmanaged switch and fully managed switch with the performance and reliability of the more costly fully managed switch. The SW24MGSFP is cost effective with 2 gigabit SFP (mini GBIC) optical ports for connectivity to backbone networks delivering current or future video conferencing, images or large multimedia archives. Twenty four 10/100/1000 auto-negotiation gigabit ports over copper are supported by a 48 Gbps backplane and non-blocking wire-speed forwarding architecture.
Managing the switch is simple and intuitive via a web-browser based interface allowing easy configuration of ports, port trunking, QoS, VLANs and management. Optionally Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) may be utilized to manage the switch or via the console serial port.
The SW24MGSGP switch is ideal for any small business, the network edge or workgroups in larger company structures. A rich set of standards based features including significant QoS options for facilitating traffic prioritization, network security multicast and broadcast storm control provide a robust and reliable switch.
