Product Overview
AIR802® model SW24MGSFP is a managed Ethernet switch with 24 Gigabit ports offering enterprises, wireless Internet service providers and others the performance and reliability they need in their networks. The SW24MGSFP is cost effective with 2 gigabit SFP (mini GBIC) optical ports for connectivity to backbone networks delivering current or future video conferencing, images or large multimedia archives. Twenty four 10/100/1000 auto-negotiation gigabit ports over copper are supported by a 48 Gbps backplane and non-blocking wire-speed forwarding architecture.
Managing the switch is simple and intuitive via a web-browser based interface allowing easy configuration of ports, port trunking, QoS, VLANs and management. Optionally Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) may be utilized to manage the switch or via the console serial port. This model fully supports 64-bit SNMP counters.
The SW24MGSFP switch is ideal for any small business, the network edge or workgroups in larger company structures and wireless Internet service providers (WISP's). A rich set of standards based features including significant QoS options for facilitating traffic prioritization, network security multicast and broadcast storm control provide a robust and reliable switch.
