Reverse Polarity SMA (RP-SMA) Jack-Female to MMCX Adapter

This adapter, part number AD-RSJMMCX is a reverse polarity SMA (RP-SMA) jack or female to MMCX plug or male coaxial connector adapter. MMCX connectors provide a lock-snap connecting mechanism and allows 360 degree rotation in the mating connector. MMCX connectors are commonly found in 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi radio printed circuit boards.

In choosing adapters and/or connectors, it is important to match one to the type of cable being used, the impedance (50 versus 75 ohms), the frequency support, insertion loss, voltage rating and environmental specifications. Adapters are very useful for matching different connector types.

Note that there are both SMA and reverse polarity SMA (RP-SMA) connector types. The SMA jack / female does not have a pin protruding. However the RP-SMA jack / female does have a pin protruding. We point this out in order to minimize confusion for those not familiar with the various connector types.
